About MESC
Founded in 2012, Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) is a Not-for-Profit Organization, registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The Council has been promoted by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) with the financial support from National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC)
MESC has a mandate to create 11.74 lakhs skilled manpower by 2022 and contribute to the National Skill Mission for creating 500 million Skilled human resource by 2022.
Prime Objectives of MESC
Conduct Skill Gap Study and Develop Occupational Standards.
Initiate Skill Cataloguing for the Media and Entertainment Industry.
Create Skill development plan with industry stakeholders, Government Agencies and NSDC to set up a Labor Market Information System (LMIS).
Standardization of affiliation, accreditation, and assessment process aligned with NSQF guidelines.
Identify and create a pool of certified trainers and assessors across the country.
MESC plans to up-skill and train approximately 11.74 lakhs candidates for Media and Entertainment industries to make them employable within a period of 10 years
